Mark your calendar! The NOREX Select Driving Innovation with DevOps Workshop will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday, August 20 and 21 at the Hilton Rosemont/Chicago O’Hare in Rosemont, Illinois. Join your peers for two days of meaningful IT collaboration!

Software development and IT operations teams are driving innovation by coming together to deliver continuous business solutions at a faster pace. During this NOREX Select Workshop, member organizations both at the forefront and just getting started will collaborate on DevOps principles, processes, tools, and more.

NOREX  Select is a private network of technology professionals from large organizations who exchange information in a highly confidential, vendor-free environment. This is a no cost Workshop for NOREX Select members and invited guests.

This session is highlighted by a presentation compliments of Scott Infante, Director of IT Enterprise Technologies at FirstEnergy. Scott reveals their successful Microsoft-centric approach to a DevOps transition.

Software Development Manager, Jason Buss, presents on how Nebraska Furniture Mart made the transition from traditional IT to DevOps. This journey has allowed the Berkshire Hathaway company to position their technology stack to leverage some of the best software to effectively compete in the competitive retail landscape. Plus, when is DevOps a fit / not a fit and why? How do you recognize the signs, stop, and assess?

What are the major DevOps tool categories? Included in this session are how to determine a tooling strategy shared across the DevOps team to collaborate with development, testing, and deployment.
