How long does it take your Help Desk staff to answer a support call? Nearly half of the organizations responding to a recent NOREX Quick Poll on Help Desk Metrics indicated the average speed to answer is 10 seconds or less.
The percentage of IT staff dedicated to the Help Desk varies greatly. On the low end, one fourth of the respondants have 3% or less assigned to the Help Desk. On the high end, 12% of respondants have a third or more of their staff assigned. The poll also asked what devices are supported, what items are regularly measured, how much training time is provided and many other questions.
