If your organization is considering an upgrade to the latest release of Oracle’s E-Business Suite, a member has some advice.
During the recent NOREX WebForum on the migration to Oracle E-Business R12, a member shared his organization’s experiences with the migration and offered the following advice:
Technical
- Allow more time for DBA Team
- For applying patches, and during ‘go live’, give enough time to the DBA team.
- Load testing on PROD Server
Functional
- More training for Finance team (especially in AP) would have helped
- Identify key end to end test scenarios and test, including month end closing
General
- Engage Oracle Support as early as possible
